The Ontario Building and Construction Tradeswomen are committed to conducting and sharing research related to women in the skilled trades. Findings from our surveys will contribute to a research report that will be distributed to employment and industry partners across Ontario. We want to learn about the experiences of women to improve practices and working conditions on all job sites. OBCT wants to understand why women leave the building and construction trades industry so we can prevent this from happening in the future.
Are you a skilled trades employer, union organizer, general foreman, or hold a supervisory role? We want to hear from you regarding your experiences with tradeswomen!
This survey is intended for contractors, employers, union officers & organizers, general foreman, hiring managers, and other workers within a supervisory role within the building & construction industry.
Are you a woman that is currently working in or has previously worked in the skilled trades? We want to hear from you!
This survey is intended for both past and current tradeswomen and is designed to capture the thoughts of women working within the building & construction industry.
Our intent is to collect valuable data from women who have experience working within the skilled building trades to help support, recruit, and retrain women into the industry.
