Mental Health First Aid Basic provides a baseline of valuable information on mental health, helps participants unpack the stigma surrounding mental health problems, and engages participants in learning and practicing interactive social skills so that they may develop confidence in personal abilities to help themselves and others while on and off the job.

International evaluations and feedback have found the following outcomes for participants undertaking an MHFA course:

Increased awareness of signs and symptoms of the most common mental health problems

Decreased stigma related to mental health

Increased confidence interacting with individuals experiencing a mental health problem or crisis

Increased help actually provided to individuals in crisis or experiencing a mental health problem

Safety: Participants must wear a mask covering mouth  and nose, participants will be able to maintain 2 metres distance and  hand sanitizer will be available. The number of participants is limited  to 12 to safely allow for pandemic restrictions.
